Simple Exercises for Sustainable Fitness Success

By Austin Witherow

Our body is a output of the inputs of the water we drink, the food we eat, and the exercises we put it through. Proper fitness is achieved when one mindfully commits to effective, targeted and consistent exercise with their long term goals in mind.

Cultivating Success with Simple Fitness Habits

Being realistic, we want to achieve our goals with the minimum required effort for the maxium results, so that we can enjoy the rest of our lives in abundance. This series focuses on an implementation plan for those of us who want to reap the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, without having to identify as a gym rat.

Future articles will provide some simple theory on human physics, and a simple and effective routine I have gathered and implemented for building lean muscle, burning fat, looking sexy naked, and being a foundation for all other physical fitness.

For now, we begin with the end in mind.

Before we just go off making decisions, we should take time to get an idea of where we wanna be. We are the Artist and the Sculpture.

How do you want to define your physique, skillset, and health?

Let's Be Honest With Ourselves

Excellence lies in our habitual tendencies.

Before we get started dreaming up where we want to go, we need to take a hard look at our current circumstances. Our past habits and choices have lead us to who we are, in this moment.

Focus on the good first.

What habits have you already developed that are helping us move towards that ideal? Always take account of your wins.

Next, think about the things that didn't exactly go the way you planned.

What things are we doing every day that we know are leading us off the path of our goals? We must be aware of what didn't work, so that we can learn how to be better next time.

Before we move on, we gotta take a look at the "ugly". We all have demons that rear their heads in the face of our success and threaten to, and often do, throw us back down the mountain we've climbed.

As we settle back at the bottom, we look up the mountainside fearlyfully, sometimes never to return to the climb.

Take stock of these hard lessons, put them behind you, and set out again with a new awareness of the trials along the path.

Tuning In With Your Dream Vibration

In order to end up where we want to, we need to have a clear idea of where exactly that is. Otherwise, how can we be sure we're going in the right direction?

I personally study the success of others who are experiencing the level of fitness and aesthetic that I aspire to. What are they doing, what kind of lifestyle have they created at that vibration?

Find people who inspire you, study their success and see how you can apply their teachings.

Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail

The theory above must be translate into something tangible. If you fail to properly prepare, you are preparing to fail.

  • Take an honest account of where you are, and how you've gotten there. Take stock, and put it behind you, emboldened to move forward.
  • Make time to find inspirational figures who you want to emulate qualities of
  • Take that inspiration and visualize your own personalized expression of what you want to achieve
